Fractyl Health announced positive one-year results from its REVEAL-1 study showing that patients who underwent a single Revita procedure maintained about 78% of their weight loss achieved through GLP-1 medication after discontinuing the drug. The study involved obese individuals who lost at least 15% body weight on GLP-1 therapy and then stopped the medication. Notably, 33% of participants continued to lose weight one year post-procedure, contrasting with typical 15% weight regain seen after GLP-1 withdrawal alone. The procedure was well tolerated with no serious adverse events, and it also helped maintain stable blood sugar levels. Upcoming data from randomized trials are expected later in 2026 to further validate these findings.
