Ford recalls 548,000+ Expeditions over center console defect causing injury risk

Ford is recalling over 548,000 Ford Expedition vehicles from model years 2018 to 2024 due to a center console defect where chrome plating may bubble and peel, creating sharp edges that can injure occupants. The defect, linked to parts suppliers Xin Point and Forvia, has caused 65 reported injuries and one accident. Ford will inspect and replace affected center consoles at no cost, with notification letters to be sent starting June 29 and additional updates in January next year.
