FMC Corporation and Corteva, Inc. have entered a strategic supply and license agreement to broaden the availability of FMC's rimisoxafen herbicide technology for corn and soybean growers across North and South America. This dual mode of action herbicide targets resistant weeds like Amaranthus species, a major challenge for farmers. FMC retains ownership and will supply the active ingredient, while both companies will develop exclusive formulations. Corteva has prepaid $200 million, and commercial sales are expected by decade's end pending regulatory approval. This collaboration aims to provide durable weed management solutions and enhance crop productivity and profitability for growers in the Americas.
