Elixir Energy has started a Diagnostic Fracture Injection Test (DFIT) at its Lorelle-3H appraisal well in Queensland's Taroom Trough. The test aims to measure reservoir pressure and gather data to design a multi-stage stimulation and testing program targeting gas and condensate in the Tinowon 'Dunk' Sandstone. Following the DFIT, Elixir plans an 11-stage fracture stimulation with Halliburton, then a flow-back period to monitor well performance before formal production testing begins in late June. This work is critical to proving commercial flow rates and supporting future development of the gas resources.
