Eli Lilly CEO Dave Ricks stated the company opposes the White House's effort to codify 'Most Favored Nations' (MFN) drug pricing into law. Although Lilly and other drugmakers signed MFN deals with the Trump administration to align U.S. drug prices with those in other wealthy countries, the company fears that formalizing such pricing could harm future drug innovation and the U.S. pharmaceutical industry. Ricks emphasized Lilly will actively resist what it considers bad policy, warning that focusing on immediate price cuts could jeopardize new medicine development and research in the U.S. The White House is pushing Congress to enact these pricing measures, but Lilly remains firm in its opposition.
