The Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy has mandated payment of COP 1.6 trillion to cover the outstanding balance of the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for Q1 2025. Ecopetrol S.A. is set to receive COP 1.2 trillion, while Refinería de Cartagena S.A.S. will receive COP 0.4 trillion. The government and these companies agreed on a payment plan involving a cash transfer in April 2026 and treasury securities in December 2026.
