The Duke Energy Foundation awarded $130,000 to 10 Florida organizations to enhance community preparedness and resilience ahead of the 2026 hurricane season starting June 1. Grants support emergency management, senior care, and public safety efforts to improve storm response and recovery. Since 2021, the foundation has invested $3.9 million in similar initiatives, helping reduce power outages and speed restoration. These partnerships strengthen local capacity to protect vulnerable residents and ensure faster recovery after storms.
