Ascendis Pharma announced that children aged 5 and older with achondroplasia treated with once-weekly TransCon CNP showed significantly improved growth rates compared to placebo after one year, with sustained benefits through two years. The treatment was well tolerated with mild side effects and no bone age acceleration. These results support TransCon CNP's ability to promote healthy, proportional growth in children with this rare genetic condition. The drug, marketed as YUVIWEL, is FDA-approved in the US and under review in Europe.
