Danaos Corporation posted a net income of $151.8 million for Q2 2026, up from $130.9 million a year earlier, driven by improved drybulk vessel performance and a 57% revenue increase in that segment. The company secured $683 million in new charter contracts, raising its total contracted revenue backlog to $4.6 billion, with strong charter coverage through 2029. Danaos also expanded its fleet with new eco-friendly vessels and refinanced debt, maintaining a low net leverage of 0.3x and liquidity of $1.5 billion. These developments position Danaos well for continued growth and shareholder returns, including a recent $0.90 per share dividend.
