The bank aims to become one of the first AI-enabled regional banks in the U.S. by using AI to improve lending, deposits, and payments processes. This collaboration builds on their 2023 deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise and now includes direct onsite support from OpenAI to create custom AI solutions tailored to the bank's data and workflows. By the end of 2026, Customers Bank expects AI to significantly enhance operational efficiency, allowing bankers to focus more on value-creating activities for clients and shareholders.
