Curve Finance has launched Llamalend v2, an upgraded lending protocol on the Optimism network, supported by a 250,000 OP token grant to boost liquidity. Unlike the first version, which was limited to the crvUSD stablecoin, Llamalend v2 supports multiple collateral types including LP tokens and PT tokens, and introduces soft liquidations for smoother risk management. The protocol also partners with LlamaRisk to manage risk parameters. A test phase is planned for Q2 2026 to refine these features before potential expansion to other blockchains.
