COUR Pharma secured $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Lumira Ventures and Roche Venture Fund, with new investment from Sanofi. The funds will support clinical trials of CNP-103, a novel immune tolerance therapy targeting type 1 diabetes by preventing autoimmune destruction of insulin-producing cells. The therapy is currently in Phase 2 trials for patients recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. COUR aims to expand this approach to other autoimmune diseases with additional therapies in development.
