Coins.ph has expanded its QR-code crypto payment network in the Philippines by adding Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) support, joining Tether (USDT) in the system. This update integrates with QRPH, the country's standardized QR payment system, which converts crypto to Philippine pesos at the point of sale, enhancing payment options for around 700,000 merchants. The move supports the growing use of stablecoins in the Philippines, a country with significant remittance inflows totaling about $38 billion annually. With over 15 million Filipinos using digital currencies, this expansion aims to make cryptocurrencies a practical part of daily financial transactions in the country.
