Home Depot announced that CEO Ted Decker will take a temporary medical leave of absence and is expected to return within a few months. During his absence, CFO Richard McPhail and Senior EVP Ann-Marie Campbell will oversee CEO duties, following Decker's recommendation. Decker, who became CEO in March 2022 and has been with the company since 2000, is stepping away amid ongoing efforts to grow Home Depot’s professional business. The company declined further comment and will report quarterly results next Tuesday.
