Centrus Energy has chosen Geiger Brothers as the construction contractor for its multi-billion dollar expansion of uranium enrichment capacity at the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. This project aims to deploy thousands of centrifuges to produce Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) and High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU), supporting both commercial and U.S. national security needs. Fluor Corporation remains the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor overseeing the project, while Geiger Brothers will handle on-the-ground construction, leveraging their century-long experience and local workforce. This expansion will enhance U.S. uranium enrichment capabilities, create local jobs, and help meet clean energy and national security goals.
