Cardinal Health has significantly increased its production capacity of Actinium-225 (Ac-225), a key alpha-emitting radionuclide used in developing targeted cancer therapies. The expansion at its Indianapolis facility will boost supply for clinical trials and future commercial use, addressing a critical bottleneck in the availability of Ac-225. This move supports the growing global demand for novel cancer treatments targeting prostate, breast, melanoma, and other cancers. Cardinal Health plans to continue scaling production throughout 2026 to meet increasing needs from pharmaceutical innovators and patients worldwide.
