Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. has formed a 50-50 joint venture with CMA CGM S.A. to build and operate a 20,000 cbm dual-fuel LNG bunkering vessel, marking its entry into the LNG bunkering market. The vessel, costing $82.8 million, will be built by Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering and is expected to be delivered in Q3 2028. This move expands Capital Clean Energy's business from gas carriage to marine fuel supply, supporting cleaner emissions and providing a new long-term revenue stream through a 12-year charter with a CMA CGM-TotalEnergies joint venture. The vessel will feature advanced emissions reduction and efficient dual-fuel power systems to meet global environmental standards.
