Campbell Global, a J.P. Morgan Asset Management subsidiary, has appointed Michael Barbara as its new Head of Global Acquisitions. In this role, Barbara will lead the firm's global timberland investment activities, including origination, due diligence, and divestments, while retaining his position as Head of Australasia. With over 20 years of experience in forestry and nature-based asset investment, Barbara will also contribute to the firm's global investment strategy as a member of the executive team and investment committee. This promotion follows the successful closure of Campbell Global's Forest & Climate Solutions Fund II, which raised $1.5 billion, marking the largest private timberland investment fundraise to date.
