Broadcom announced VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1, a platform designed to support production AI workloads with enhanced security, cost savings, and hardware flexibility. VCF 9.1 integrates AI and Kubernetes native private cloud capabilities, supporting AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA hardware to reduce server and storage costs by up to 40% and 39%, respectively. It also offers improved operational efficiency with faster upgrades and increased capacity, alongside advanced security features like zero-trust architecture and ransomware recovery. This platform aims to help enterprises deploy AI workloads more efficiently on private clouds, addressing concerns over public cloud costs and data sovereignty.
