In June 2026, global digital asset exchange-traded products (ETPs) saw assets under management fall 18.4% to $106.8 billion, marking the lowest level since September 2024 and a second straight negative quarter. The total digital asset market capitalization also dropped 17.6%, driven mainly by price declines rather than investor withdrawals. Bitcoin-backed ETPs outperformed the broader market, declining 18.3% in AUM while Bitcoin's price fell 20.4%, indicating strong demand despite the sell-off. Conversely, Ethereum ETPs faced heavier losses, with AUM down 23.6% and investor withdrawals contributing to the decline. Despite the downturn, the number of listed digital asset ETPs increased to 328 by June, reflecting ongoing market expansion and issuer confidence in future growth.
