Biodexa Pharmaceuticals has partnered with Syngene International to manufacture the active pharmaceutical ingredient and dosage form of MTX240, a novel drug for gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) resistant to current treatments. MTX240 uses molecular glue technology to induce cancer cell death through a unique mechanism independent of common resistance pathways. Biodexa plans to file an IND and start a Phase 1b/2a clinical trial by the end of 2026, aiming to establish safety and efficacy in TKI-resistant GIST patients. This partnership builds on Syngene's previous successful collaboration with Biodexa and supports the development of innovative cancer therapies with significant unmet medical needs.
