Bio-Techne and Refeyn have launched an integrated workflow combining icIEF fractionation and mass photometry to analyze charge and size variants in bispecific antibodies and biosimilars. This four-hour process allows researchers to directly correlate charge heterogeneity with molecular weight and aggregation at single-molecule resolution, overcoming previous challenges in characterizing these complex biotherapeutics. The innovation reduces development risk, accelerates manufacturing, and provides deeper insights with minimal sample requirements. The workflow was demonstrated on Mosunetuzumab-axgb and will be presented at the ASMS 2026 conference.
