Binance has disclosed a minority stake in Alpaca as it expands its US stock and ETF trading service to users outside the United States. The partnership allows Binance to earn revenue from order flow fees and stock lending linked to user trades, while Alpaca handles execution and custody. Binance recently launched access to over 7,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs with fractional shares and 24-hour trading. The deal positions Binance to enter traditional markets without directly holding user securities and supports future tokenized stock products.
