Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta funds $3.3M for affordable housing in Washington D.C.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, Atlantic Union Bank, and Jubilee Housing have initiated six affordable multifamily rental projects in Washington, D.C., supported by $3.3 million in grants from FHLBank Atlanta’s General Fund. These grants will rehabilitate 81 affordable rental units across four developments, helping to expand affordable housing supply and provide essential community services. This effort is part of FHLBank Atlanta's broader commitment, allocating $120 million in 2026 for housing programs to support homeownership and community development. The collaboration highlights the importance of partnerships in addressing housing affordability and community well-being in the District.
