Astera Labs launches Scorpio X-Series 320 Lane AI fabric switch to boost large-scale AI cluster performance.

Astera Labs has introduced the Scorpio X-Series 320 Lane Smart Fabric Switch, the largest open memory-semantic fabric switch designed to enhance AI cluster scalability and reduce latency. This new switch supports larger scale-up AI clusters with improved token economics through hardware-accelerated Hypercast and In-Network Compute engines, which double collective operation speeds and improve GPU utilization. The expanded Scorpio P-Series now offers 32 to 320 lane configurations, providing flexible connectivity options for diverse AI accelerator systems. These innovations aim to meet the increasing demands of AI production workloads by improving infrastructure efficiency and operational reliability, with production ramping up in the second half of 2026.
