ArcelorMittal has formed a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance industrial automation across its global steel production using cloud, AI, and edge technologies. This partnership aims to improve safety, asset reliability, and energy efficiency by integrating AI-driven predictive maintenance and process optimization directly at production sites. Additionally, ArcelorMittal will supply lower-carbon XCarb® steel to Amazon for use in its operations and AWS data centers, supporting Amazon's net-zero carbon goal by 2040. The collaboration also includes an educational program to advance AI skills among ArcelorMittal’s workforce, marking a significant step toward digital transformation and sustainable steelmaking.
