American Rare Earths has defined a new pilot plant pathway to speed up the production of pre-production rare earth oxide from its Halleck Creek Project in Wyoming. Initial processing will occur in Wyoming using DISA Technologies and Western Research Institute, followed by final hydrometallurgical processing and oxide separation at the Saskatchewan Research Council in Canada. This staged approach shortens the timeline from years to months, leveraging existing facilities to reduce risks and validate the process flowsheet. The pilot plant program will generate critical data to support the design and development of a future commercial plant, advancing the largest U.S. rare earth resource toward production and reducing reliance on imports, especially from China.
