American Rare Earths has begun its 2026 drilling program at the Cowboy State Mine within the Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project in Wyoming, targeting what is believed to be the largest rare earth deposit in the US. The drilling aims to provide geological data for a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) to advance the project towards production. The program includes up to 3,050 meters of core drilling across 19 holes to upgrade resource classification, test mineral extensions, and support mine design and environmental studies. This effort is part of the company's strategy to reduce US reliance on imported rare earth elements, crucial for defense and advanced technologies.
