Amazon is expanding its "Amazon Now" service, which delivers groceries, electronics, and essentials within 30 minutes in several US cities including Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Philadelphia, and Seattle, with plans to add more cities. Prime members pay a $3.99 fee per order, while non-Prime customers pay $13.99, with extra fees for orders under $15. This move intensifies competition with Walmart and Target, who are also enhancing same-day delivery options. The trend reflects a broader retail shift toward instant commerce, despite the higher costs and consumer preference for free standard delivery.
