Alstom and Transports publics de la région lausannoise (tl) signed a €295 million contract to modernize Lausanne's metro m2 line. The upgrade includes deploying Alstom's next-gen CBTC signaling system to increase train frequency and capacity, alongside a mid-life refresh of the train fleet to extend operational performance. This project aims to reduce wait times, improve passenger comfort, and maintain high safety standards while minimizing service disruptions during installation. The modernization supports long-term service reliability and meets growing passenger demand in the Lausanne region.
