Alcon and RxSight partner to develop adjustable lenses for better vision post-cataract surgery

Alcon and RxSight have entered a non-exclusive collaboration to develop adjustable presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses (PCIOLs) that allow surgeons to fine-tune vision outcomes after cataract surgery. RxSight will integrate its post-operative light-adjustable technology with Alcon's PCIOL optics to create this innovative product. RxSight will receive $60 million upfront and up to $140 million in milestone payments, while Alcon will lead global commercialization. This partnership aims to improve patient vision customization and expand access to advanced cataract surgery solutions.
