Alaska Airlines has signed a formal agreement to fully adopt Boeing's Virtual Airplane, a modular training platform that allows pilots to practice procedures realistically outside traditional simulators. This technology supports flexible, high-fidelity training on devices like computers and tablets, initially for Boeing 737 MAX pilots, with plans to expand to other models. The adoption aims to enhance pilot readiness, reduce simulator time, and improve training effectiveness. Alaska Airlines collaborated closely with Boeing during development and will integrate this tool into their ground school curriculum, marking a significant step in aviation training innovation.
