American Electric Power names Maryam S. Brown president of Indiana Michigan Power, succeeding Steve Baker.

American Electric Power (AEP) has appointed Maryam S. Brown as president and COO of Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), effective April 27, succeeding Steve Baker who will become a senior advisor until his retirement at the end of 2026. Brown brings over 25 years of experience in utility operations, regulatory law, and energy infrastructure, having most recently led Southern California Gas Company. This leadership change comes as I&M is positioned for significant growth and potential nuclear development. Brown's expertise is expected to help I&M navigate complex challenges and advance its energy infrastructure goals.
