AEP names Andy Gurgol as new VP of Investor Relations; Darcy Reese to retire end of 2026

American Electric Power (AEP) announced Andy Gurgol as the new vice president of Investor Relations, effective May 9, 2026. He will succeed Darcy Reese, who plans to retire at the end of 2026 after more than 35 years in finance and accounting. Gurgol brings extensive experience in corporate strategy and development, having worked in the utility and energy sectors for nearly 14 years. This leadership change comes as AEP prepares to invest $78 billion through 2030 to enhance its electric system and support growth, with Gurgol expected to play a key role in communicating the company's vision to investors.
