Actuate Therapeutics announced that elraglusib combined with standard chemotherapy significantly improved survival in a phase 2 trial for untreated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The combination increased median overall survival by over 40% to 10.1 months versus 7.2 months with chemotherapy alone, and doubled the 1-year survival rate to 44% compared to 22%. The treatment showed consistent benefits even in patients with poor prognosis, including those with liver metastases, and demonstrated immunomodulatory effects by increasing tumor-infiltrating immune cells. These promising results support further clinical development of elraglusib as a potential new first-line therapy for this hard-to-treat cancer.
