88 Energy has amended its agreement with joint venture partner Burgundy Xploration for Project Phoenix in Alaska, extending Burgundy's funding deadline to September 30, 2026, to align with Burgundy's planned US IPO. In exchange, 88 Energy will receive $400,000 in near-term payments, including an amendment fee and payment toward the Icewine 3D project. Burgundy remains committed to funding the full $29 million project costs, with added security over leases and an option for 88 Energy to acquire up to 25% of Burgundy's 2025 North Slope leases. The next appraisal well, Franklin Bluffs-1H, is now scheduled to start drilling by March 30, 2027. Burgundy has progressed its IPO process with the SEC, having submitted a draft Form S-1 and completed two rounds of comments. Since February 2025, Burgundy has paid about $1.5 million to 88 Energy, providing roughly A$2 million in net cash flow benefits.
