The Company begin opertions on year 1989 and commenced its commercial activities since 1990. The Company’s Majority shareholder is PT Dharma Inti Anugerah, established in Republic Indonesia on 20 November 2003.

PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk was established on February 17, 1983 as a member of the well established METRODATA group, which had been active in information technology since 1975. Originally called PT Sarana Hitech Systems, the company changed its name to PT Metrodata Epsindo on October 10, 1989 and again on March 28, 1991 to become PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk.In response to a more accessible market and more strenuous competition in the electronics industry, the company decided to increase its investment capital and working capital for a number of operational expansions. To achieve this and to enable public participation in its development and growth, the company conducted on Initial Public Offering on February 14, 1990 by selling 1,468,000 shares with a par value of Rp 1,000 per share with an offer price of Rp 6,800 per share.
