What happens to my TP/SL orders if I partially close a Futures position?
When you close part of a position, the amount on the existing TP/SL order will be adjusted based on the remaining position.
Example:
1. Your initial settings:
You have a long position of 1 BTCUSDT at a price of ₮80,000 and place two TP orders:
- TP 1: Sell 0.5 BTCUSDT at ₮85,000
- TP 2: Sell 1 BTCUSDT at ₮90,000.
2. Price reaches ₮85,000:
- TP 1 executed
- 0.5 BTCUSDT sold
3. After the price reaches ₮85,000:
- Your remaining position is 0.5 BTCUSDT
- TP 2 automatically adjusted to: Sell 0.5 BCTUSDT at ₮90,000
4.When the price reaches ₮90,000:
- TP 2 executed.
- Remaining 0.5 BTCUSDT sold
The system automatically reduces the TP amount to 0.5 BTCUSDT to adjust the remaining position. This ensures that you do not accidentally open a position in the opposite direction.
