If the US market is closed on a specific day (e.g., a Stock Exchange Holiday), does the overnight session (07:00 – 16:00 WIB) still operate in this 24-Hour Market?
If the US exchange is closed for a holiday, no trading occurs. The Overnight session cannot operate independently if the preceding or succeeding regular sessions do not support the 24-hour cycle. Trading will resume during the Pre-market session (16:00 – 21:30 WIB) on the day the exchange reopens.
For example, if the US stock market is closed on February 16, 2026 the trading schedule scenario would be as follows:
|
Date (JKT Time) |
Overnight (08:00–16:00 JKT TIme) |
Pre-Market (4:00 PM–9:30 PM JKT Time) |
Regular (21:30–04:00 JKT Time) |
After-Hours (04:00–08:00 JKT Time) |
